We have received several inquiries about a larger version the small metal palm tree that Jeff Drushal created.

After speaking with Jeff Drushal about the project, we were able to put together a basic breakdown of what this project will look like.

Below are a few pictures of what the pipe (trunk) sections will look like.

Trunk Sections will be staggard and will be slightly different heights and angles to allow for a natural "trunk" look.

Assembled 6 foot in diameter pipe sections will be staggard and look like this

Also, we have a couple pictures of the assembled palm fronds in a local island themed restaraunt.

Large palm fronds will cap the top of the tree.

On an eight foot in height tree, 2 foot by 4 foot palm fronds will cap the top - all pieces in the tree will be clear coated.

Metal Palm Tree Sculpture - From One Foot to Ten Feet in Height

I just received the specs from Jeff Drushal of Studio 13. Here are the specs so far on one 8 foot (approximate) tree unless you have specific requirements. (All measurements are approximate)

• The bottom of the tree will have a 12” metal plate for stability and support.
• The bottom will also have a smaller secondary metal plate similar to the smaller version of the tree to give a ground texture look.
• The trunk will be constructed of 6” SCH40 pipe sections cut and welded measuring from 1.75” to 2.25” in height and staggered to give the appearance of a real palm tree trunk.
• The trunk will have a textured coating, black in color.
• The entire tree will be clear coated for protection.
• All steel used in construction will be brand new.
• This tree can be made in one piece or two pieces (will separate at palm fronds)
• The palm fronds will measure 2’x4’ and will be constructed of 16 gauge HRPO steel.
• Jeff has constructed palm fronds of this size in the past. A local tropical restaurant has them installed if you would like to see pictures – let me know.
• Estimated weight by factor listing of steel will be 130 pounds per tree. Will know exact weight at final assembly.
• Total material and labor is $850.00 per tree.

Price does not include shipping costs. Approximate shipping cost is $300.00 to 350.00 because of the weight and size it will have to be palletized and shipped as freight.
